In some cases there are infections that can spread through the frames of your nails. An example of this is Onychomycosis. Although the visibility is not exactly rare, these specific infections can be tough to treat.
There are four clinical presentations, among these the Subungual Onychomycosis and Distal are the most common. There is another type of infection which is considered to be very dangerous; it is called Proxymal Subungual Onychomycosis. The reason for this is due to its association with Aids.
